Ethyl (2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl) phenylphosphinate is a yellow oily to heavy oily liquid at normal temperature and pressure. It is slightly soluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide. Its structure contains a relatively large conjugated system. Its absorption wavelengths are 299 and 366nm, and it can be used to excite ultraviolet photopolymerization reactions. During the UV polymerization curing process, it can trigger the polymerization reaction of the resin.
